ARBOUSES
Strawberry-like fruit obtained from the Arbouse tree. When cooked it tastes like damson juice and provides a bright decoration for the evergreen trees int the Autumn and Winter. The white clusters of blossoms ont the Arbouse trees remind us of lilies of the valley. Arbouse with Bruyère (giant heather clumps) and Rosemary combine form the Maquis scrub which is, at time, impassable.
